Design Documents

Creating documents has been a great way for me to express whole game ideas without having to load a game engine. Panels and pages can be freely edited and ordered until all the main mechanics are water tight.

The Ever After

An idea I've had for years and years, finally came to fleshing out some document designs. It's been amazing to take fun sounding concepts and bring them to life in a playable prototype.

Conan Chop Chop

Conan Chop Chop's documentation took just around two months to complete. It's packed full of ideas, mechanics and concepts. Would have been rad to see some of these eventuate. It was a dream to work in the Conan Universe

Dungeon Chop Chop

Dungeon Chop Chop's documentation took just over two weeks to complete. There are 50 pages of fully illustrated and coloured diagrams and images.

Space Dash

Space Dash was the first design document I'd written and fully illustrated for a school project. It proved to be very useful in that the game was well scoped and completed within the time frame and to a high standard.

Fruit Loot

Fruit Loot is a design document created for a school project. The aim was to create a professional standard GDD for a game that focuses on economy, game loops, and  player psychological drivers.

Angel

Angel was a 2 day game jam school project. I created these simple pages to help the team understand the expected outcomes. By the end of the jam we had a fully playable game that provides both fun and challenge.
